Virtual Diwali Milan 2020!
Junoon hosted one of its biggest online events last Diwali, Diwali Milan. Diwali Milan had it all. Amid the pandemic, we wanted to give people a platform to come together to celebrate the festival of lights; and that’s exactly what we did.
We divided activities between two days to have events every age group could attend. We crafted at Tassel Me Crazy, heard stories at What’s Your Story?, danced at The Elite Stars, tested ourselves at Mindscape, and learned how to cook at Little Masterchefs. Our team came together this Diwali to give us, our children, and our supporters a way to interact with each other and showcase our student’s talents. Our children made hand painted Diyas for everyone and even put together a dance performance among all the other events.
We also had a Diwali Donation Drive where our children received notebooks, stationery, clothes, books, and games. Junoon’s theory revolves around being more than teachers to these students. We want them to feel hopeful, confident, determined, and respected at their home. Our supporters help us with all their contributions to make this a smooth journey for them. With their help, we can give them the best possible education they need to succeed.
